Cardio-vascular disease is the most frequent cause of death in industrialized
countries as well as
in those countries incorporating to a western life style,
such as Mexico. Illnesses such as Coronary Artery disease with or without myocardial
infarction, Arterial Hypertension and Dyslipidemia ( ele-
vated cholesterols ) have had
a meteoric rise in the past few years, affecting millions of people
with a severe
economic and social impact in the affected population.
Compounding all this, is the
presence of VISCERAL OBESITY that has reached epidemic proportions, that influences
so greatly the presence of Diabetes Mellitus type II.
Consequently, all these factors
make the perfect cocktail to increase the incidence of Cardio-
vascular disease with all
it’s complications.
